CASA

The Mercer County Court Appointed Special Advocate program is affiliated with the National CASA program. This amazing volunteer opportunity matches children with volunteers who act as the eyes and ears of our Mercer County Court of Common Pleas Judges regarding the well-being and placement of the child. These children can either be in foster care, in group home or in a residential treatment facility. CASAs report to the Court of Common Pleas twice per year on average. CASAs undergo a screening process, background checks and 38 hours of required training which can be taken classroom style or through an independent study course. If you are interested in beciming a CASA, please contact us. For more CASA information, click here.

HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE TRAININGS

MCJAC organizes annual trainings on Health and Human Services. These trainings are funded through the Human Services Development Fund. Please check back for upcoming training information.

HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE ONLINE DATABASE

In March of 2001, MCJAC received a DCED grant inorder to create an online database that would promote greater interagency collaboration. This year, the Health and Human Services Database will be undergoing some changes. Our most current database can be accessed here.
